2009 GARDENS

A VERY wet summer so far. The lawn areas look fabulous thanks to all the rain and the gardens are bursting with color. I made very few changes this year, being quite satisfied with all that I see.

My gardens were featured as part of the Sullivan County NY (Bicentennial) Garden Tour sponsored by Sullivan Renaissance to benefit Sullvan ARC. It was my pleasure to welcome people to my gardens and it was wonderful to help raise money for a very worthy organization that does so much for so many. There were twelve gardens on the tour. I hope to take the tour myself next year!!

 FALL 2009

Our nosey, nasty old fart neighbors do not like our very high privacy fencing. The wife wanted to know if we were keeping a giraffe in there...what a fun idea! So, I drew a life size giraffe head on some exterior plywood, painted it and cut it out, and attached to our fence facing the neighbors.

Our 2nd "fence peeker" was made from a kit. The likeness to the big mouth husband is quite amazing. A straw hat like he wears adds the finishing touch. Fences don't have to be boring hahaha.

Our other NICE neighbors enjoy our sense of humor :-)
