I emailed a few questions about the dog, then later
called and spoke with Liz, the kennel manager. I had met Liz years ago
when she was grooming and teaching obedience classes that I had enrolled
one of my Old English Sheepdogs in.
I visited the kennel and found "Honey' to be very lively, healthy,
and so happy to have attention! I went back for a second visit, bringing
my husband along. He remarked that she would be the smallest dog we ever
had and only non-purebred but he thought, like me, that this dog was so
cute!
Adoption was arranged and the dog, who I decided to name
"Kelsey" was sent to the vet for full check-up, spaying,
shots, some tests, etc. Meanwhile, I did lots of shopping for
"doggie things"!
From the first day we brought Kelsey home, I knew I had picked a
wonderful new companion.
