MY SECOND 1996 Suzuki X90

Even though I thought I would never own another X90, I still kept looking for one. In June 2006, I had to buy another car because my first X90 was totaled on May 18, 2006 by an asshole who zoomed through a stop sign and smashed into my car. It's rare to find an X90 for sale since there were so few made. Most have very high mileage and a lot of rust.

I bought a "temporary" car, a brand new 2006 Chevy Aveo LS, 4-door with hatchback in Icelandic Blue. Very good on gas. Nice car but just not "moi".

Then, on October 11, 2007, I found a new listing for an X90 that was just two hours away and had less than 29,000 miles on it! The first owner was an older gentleman in Pennsylvania and the second owners, who were selling it, lived in Brooklyn and sounded great in emails and phone calls and the car looked very good in photos sent to me.

My husband and I went to check out the car on October 14th and I knew I had found my next X90. We enjoyed meeting sellers Tom and Anna and their handsome standard poodle, Tino.

On October 21, Tom and Anna (and Tino of course) delivered the X90 to us. Thanks so much for a smooth deal!!

First thing we did was wash the car . What a difference once the New York City grime was off it. I'm going to have my mechanic's body dude really shine it up for me. I'm going to have him add black body side molding to help prevent door dings.

Once I knew I was buying this car, I contacted Cody Lee, who was thrilled to hear from me again (I'm his favorite X90 customer LOL) I ordered a new wheel cap (one was cracked) and a new set of shades for the T-top.

If you have a Suzuki X90 and need NEW parts, at good prices, here's the contact info:

Stuff getting done:

My mechanic checked out the car and just a few things have to be done...need to replace a tie rod end, need new front brake pads and shocks (Seller Tom left brand new shocks and struts in the trunk) Also have to change the air filter. Will have the ABS checked and the A/C checked.

Cosmetic things include new trim along the bottom of driver's window (think it's called "run channel") and I'm having the alloy rims sandblasted, then clear-coated to look like new. I didn't want to spend almost $200.00 each for four new rims!

Black body side molding will be added. I'm thinking about having some put on the back bumper.

I also ordered a new head lamp fixture (one has moisture inside and has to be replaced) from Cody Lee at Suzuki Depot.

Finally, the engine will be steam cleaned and I have an appointment to get the car waxed.

Then my X90 will be ready for winter and looking great!!

All shined up!!

The trunk is large enough for two bodies :-)

With T-tops off

Automatic transmission with 4-wheel drive option

Dashboard

Way cool 2-seater :-)

Spring 2008
